I  seriously need to stop procrastinating, but I was reading this person's blog and she was recounting this whole hiking accident/search and rescue thing she witnessed which reminded me somehow about what happened on Monday.

So on Monday, some people and I were taking the U-Bahn back to Haus Erasmus after the German placement exam. For some reason unknown to us, the train stopped at the stop right before ours and everyone was ordered to get off. We thought that maybe the train had mechanical issues or something. Maybe they explained something but obviously it was in super fast German... which doesn't help much. We were confused and just decided to walk back since it wasn't that far anyway. When we came to the stop where we normally get off, we saw a ton of commotion. There were police cars everywhere and some ambulances. Also, the station is kind of open so you can look down and see the train tracks. Tons of people were crowded around the side looking down, and police officers were going around shooing people away. Since it's hard to resist looking at things that people clearly don't want you to look it, we went to a section where there were no police officers and tried to figure out what was going on. We began speculating that maybe someone had tried to commit suicide/jumped into the train tracks. Of course, we looked and we couldn't see anything besides some officers and a stretcher. Other people were coming, gesturing at the train/tracks and donning gloves, which was kind of creepy.

Today, I finally remembered that I wanted to check the Austrian newspapers to see what happened. Apparently, our speculations were accurate(ish). An unidentified man fell (or jumped...) in the tracks and was hit by the train. He was killed.

Wow Jeanette! That is so shocking and seeminly unreal. After I read it I thought it seem like something that only happens in a drama or in manga or something. And for you guys to be there to see the situation, it really is just...(out of word lol). It really is hard to tell what life will bring sometimes.

It seem that so far u been having a great experience! I have been catching up on ur entries and leaving comments in the wrong order haha but it is so wonderful to see all the pictures that you have posted, such pieces of arts and personally I love the bullet point system too.

I love how to notice even the small things around you and jot them down. Even after a month abroad somehow i feel that your adeventure is still fresh and new just like the beginning. I am inspired.

It must be nice not having class for me I have class on the weekdays but I am not really in teh studying mood either I guess. Hope to see more wonderful things!

Charlene -- Yeah, it was crazy. I can't believe it happened still.

Haha, yeah, it's been pretty awesome so far. I haven't done anything crazy or met like a billion people, but it's all good in my opinion :D. Thanks! New things happen daily so it really doesn't get too old.

I hope everything is going well over there! Sorry I still didn't reply to your e-mail >_>. Eh, studying... don't just focus on that, haha. Experience awesome stuff! Though I bet you are...

Amy -- Yep.
