Anyway, back to the point of this post. If you want to dress like a Swede, this is how to do it:
WOMEN:
1. Wear leather jackets with some sort of really, REALLY long, semi-transparent thing underneath
2. Wear these types of shoes:
- short leather boots
- white canvas shoes (Converse or Keds are a must)
- some kind of wedge thing
- flatforms (yes, really)
4. Wear only neutrals (or neon)
5. Wear leggings as pants but actually pull it off (miraculous. I think only Swedes can do this, sorry)
MEN:
1. Wear hipster glasses (even 50 year old businessmen wear these types of glasses. No joke)
2. Wear really, really tight pants
3. Again, white shoes
OTHER:
1. STRIPES. The ultimate thing you should wear to be super-Swedish = stripes. Preferably white and navy (like Breton stripes)
2. Roll up something, whether it be your jeans/pants (remember: skin tight) or sweaters, jackets, shirts, etc.
Right, so basically I'm saying that Swedes all look the "same" but they all look really good so I'm not complaining. Also, never have I been so confused inside stores. I swear, the men's and women's clothing look so similar... and I seriously cannot tell which jeans are for women and which are for men without some careful inspection... Actually, there are also numerous "unisex" jeans, which probably did not help with my initial confusion.
